End Of Summer

We went to visit the in-laws this last week.  Our whole family had such a great time.  Not only did the girls get to see their grandparents, but we were also lucky enough to spend the time with Hubby's sister's family.  :)  So there were 6 adults, 4 kids, and 6 dogs all in one house!

It was so funny to see the 4 cousins play (even if they are all diff ages).  They had such a great time swimming, playing, fishing, and goofing around.  X (our nephew) is great with Buggy and Crazy O!  He took the time out to care/play with both.  He has a "magic trick" he loves to perform.  He takes one of the girls (either his sister (Fashionista) or Buggy) and puts them in a large box.  X turns the box around (so they can sneak out) and turns it back around to us---only for us to find that there is nobody in the box.  :)  Very cute trick.

Fashionista and Buggy were connected at the hip.  They both wanted to be/do what the other was doing.  Sharing toys (you know the other person always has the better ones!), swimming, dancing, playing, holding hands, swinging, and getting wagon rides were just a few of the things they did.

After such a nice trip we are now taking the weekend easy.  Hubby is back to work Tuesday, and Buggy will start her first day of school on Wednesday.  The summer is over and time to get into fall.  Time to plan a birthday party and get our Christmas shopping done before October comes and goes.  Fall is my favorite time of the year and I'm ready and waiting to embrace it.  :)

  1. It sounds like you had a really nice vacation, even with all those people in one house! I fondly remember playing with my cousins as a kid, and they are some of my all-time favorite memories. How great that your kids are building memories like that. It's definitely hard to believe it's fall almost, but I'm surprisingly ready for it. Usually, I hate when summer is over, but I guess now that I stay home instead of work, I can appreciate the cooler days and start of fun activities a little more.
